I produce installations and sculpture, exhibiting locally, nationally and internationally. I grew up in the rural county of Shropshire in the UK, attending Shrewsbury College for my Foundation Art course. I then completed a four year sandwich degree in Textile Design at the University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. I specialised in woven fashion fabrics, achieving First Class Honours. I stayed in the north of England working first as a Carpet Designer in St. Helens and then as a Textile Designer of men’s and women’s fashion fabrics in Blackburn Lancashire. In 1998 I moved back to Shropshire working in a bank then a university while trying to do art. In 2003 I completed my MA in Art and Design at the University of Wolverhampton and my first installation; achieving the switch from Designer to Artist. Since then I have continued to produce and exhibit new work. In April 2012 I was invited by Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, with 7 other emerging Shropshire Artists, to explore contemporary art in a heritage context. Since then my interest in exhibiting in museums and historic venues as well as galleries has continued.
